founder. designer. manager. dad.

Steven is a seasoned and adept designer who brings a highly informed approach to our team as we tackle projects ranging from remodels and tenant improvement design to architecture. His meticulous design sensibility is underpinned by an intuitive grasp of the relationships, methods, and technical aspects associated with each project he undertakes.

With a diverse and impressive career of over a decade in architectural design, Steven's standout attribute is his wealth of knowledge. In his prior role as an associate architect at L’una Design in Salt Lake City, he focused on interior renovations and office-centric commercial design, gaining valuable experience and honing his skills.

Outside of work, Steven spends his leisure time outdoors, whether he's scaling rock walls, fly fishing, or enjoying quality moments with his family and their pets. He’s taken on the commitment of coaching youth baseball, which gives him to opportunity to play an active role in introducing one of his favorite sports to his kids and community.

Steven values movement and the natural world, both evident in his passion for rock climbing, which has had a valuable place in both his leisure time and work. Climbing has brought him around the world. He’s dedicated himself to continuous improvement in the sport and has applied this enthusiasm to his work, motivated by a personal desire to create high-quality community spaces that enrich residents’ relationships with exercise.

A recurring theme of community spaces runs through Steven's past and ongoing work, underscoring his commitment to his core values. His design process is deeply rooted in his unwavering belief in the transformative potential of civic third spaces, and his personal dedication to his community leads him to view every space he designs through the lens of its impact on the community.

The collaborative nature of his design work is what drives Steven to show up to the studio each morning, and his skills in establishing relationships with his clients, vendors, and collaborators ensure that his projects always carry clear proof of the early inspiration behind them.
